Our room was spacious, with a lovely balcony offering stunning views. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, with a great variety of food to suit all tastes. It set us up perfectly for a day of skiing. The hotel’s heated boot room was an excellent feature, ensuring our skis and boots were dry and ready to go every morning. The location is unbeatable, with close proximity to the Clotes chairlift, making it incredibly convenient for getting onto the slopes quickly. We had an unforgettable week skiing and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alvanche. It was the perfect base for our honeymoon, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Sauze D’Oulx."

"The hotel from hell. They say check-in is from 4pm which is already quite late, but don’t expect to get your room key until 6pm. Chaotic queues at check-in and it took people several hours before they got their room keys. Apart from that the hotel is run-down, tired and untidy. Certainly not worth the price. In the end we didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Fortunately it was only a one night stay. We were only too happy to move on in the morning."

"stayed for 5 nights with my adult son for a 5 day ski trip. it iwas an ideal hotel for a boys trip. we rented a junior suite with two double beds with a glorius view of the mountain and the cig-roc lift. the main entry and ticket office to the sestriere ski resort is directly across the street from the hotel. the ski check is below the ski ticket office so that was an added plus! we drove to the hotel rather than take a complex blend of trains and buses and with car rental prices so cheap in milan airport it came out to about the same price for two of us. the breakfast is ok. nothing cooked but enough to get by. the staff were kind and wonderful people. the only reason i gave 4 star is because the hotel feels dated but that was also charming. if skiing is your main object and you want to be as close to ski in/.ski out in a comfortable setting that doesnt break th bank, this is your best bet.
