"What a gem!! Bergamo was a half-hearted, 1-day visit we added to our trip since we were flying into Milan in the evening & yet we were SO pleasantly surprised! The old town, which is walking distance from La Valleta, is beautiful with a nice handful of shops & restaurants. La Valleta is a lovely hillside Villa with a small handful of rooms & very nice & kind proprietors. But what really stands out is their breakfast! Rooms were clean and gorgeous and a short drive from Bellagio! The chef was sick unfortunately however breakfast each morning was far more than we have grown to expect in our travels!
