"We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). "The apartment was easy to find and is in the university district of Ensenada. It's a second floor unit that gives you great views no matter what time of day. The place was clean and gives an artist vibe which my wife enjoyed. You get a kitchenette with a little fridge that's spacious enough for short stays. Bathroom is nice and water is hot. WiFi is strong and the TV has streaming services. It also comes with a two car garage that is shared with the unit below but street parking is also...

"A great location on a steep hill with amazing views and sunsets to the docks and the ocean. The unit was tastefully decorated and our host was very accommodating. A great location to start your stay and go to Valle de Guadalupe to taste wine! We really enjoyed our stay and would come back next year!"

"Very walkable. Close to everything. Seemed like a safe neighborhood around the corner from the police station. There was a reserved space but it is not secure parking. My car was fine on the street though. The internet was fiber and super fast. Yhe only thing is the kitchen was not well appointed. No cutting board, knife, etc. Only a couple plates and glasses. Also only one small thin towel for a 10 -day stay. But mostly a great experience."
