"5/5 star property. You never have to even leave! Staff always went out of their way to make our stay special, turndown and cleaning service was great, bfast buffet was 10/10, and property is just stunning. We also did the cooking class on property which was awesome and the hotel also set up a wine tour for us and it was great to be shown small family wineries. Such a jem of a hotel, I hope we can come back soon! "

"Beautiful hotel in a wonderful peaceful setting about a ten minute shuttle to San Gimignano. High end restaurant was wonderful but pricey so for the second night we ate in the lobby restaurant. Highly recommend this oasis. "

"Pros:Best hotel hairdryer ever! Beautiful grounds and surroundings. Lovely pool and outdoor facilities if the weather had permitted....Lovely restaurant staff. Be prepared to walk outside a bit to the restaurant, pool, reception and parking. The shower was awkward. Very limited storage space for clothes, luggage, etc. No outlets for charging other than the bathroom. Only one pair of slippers for 2 guests. Basic toiletries. Overall, a gorgeous property. The hotel was 3 star at best with a 3.5...

"This luxury property is located on a hill in the Tuscan countryside, accessible via a windind road so its not walkable or convenient to anything else. But the incredible views, scenery and indoor spa made up for that. Its the only 4/5 star hotel near San Gimigiano i could find and the front desk staff were lovely and very helpful. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were good."

"Heaven truly exists. It’s because of this place at villa petriolo. I came solo and had the most amazing, healing time. The spa, gym, fire pit and areas to relax/ decompress was like nothing else. It was a true Tuscany experience. The staff here all made me feel welcome and seeing them everyday for 5 days, was truly so special. Thank you all for making it a place to remember. "Staff was friendly although didn’t offer much in the way of helpful advice or suggestions .Room was quite modern and clean. Breakfast was mediocre and some details were lacking: Many of the “clean” plates at the breakfast buffet were dirty with stuck-on food. Town had very limited things to see and do. There were a couple good dining options, but not many during early season."

"The hotel is situated in the beautiful Tuscan country side with stunning views and fresh air all around. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly, accomodating and helpful. There was also a restaurant on site which had delicious food. Overall our stay was magical and we loved every second spent there "

"This place was exactly as advertised and the pictures don’t do it justice—it is so lovely and had all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Perfect central location and helpful details for parking were much appreciated. The history of the home and the graciousness of the hostess were bonuses. "

Small town, big value!

"This was by far our favorite town to visit on our trip so far, and this hotel was a perfect location to explore the town. The staff was great, communication was excellent, the room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious! As others mentioned, park in P3 parking lot for the closest walk. No parking in the town itself!"
