"Very traditional Tuscan property, lovely neighbourhood, next door neighbour nice,friendly and helpful coffee shop. Home restaurant lovely and a great experience, roads are a bit windy and narrow in places, car is essential to visit Places. Church bells take a bit of getting used to."

"Had a wonderful stay at the villa in Castiglione di Garfagnana. The villa is spacious, very clean, relaxing, and has quite a few activities to do on the property. The views overlooking the property were fantastic and the pool was great. There's also a few small football goals, darts, bocce, volleyball, and more. Communication with the owner was very good as well whenever we needed him and definitely recommend going to Il Pozzo for dinner in town one night. We couldn't walk into town...

"Wir waren mit 6 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern ( 1 bis 13 Jahren) für 1 Woche in der Villa. Die Anreise ist etwas mühsam, da die letzten 800m Schotterstraße wirklich eine Herausforderung sind. Für Ruhesuchende ist die Villa perfekt, ein großer Garten, ein wirklich großer Pool der jeden Tag gesäubert wird, jede Menge Liegen und Sitzmöglichkeiten laden zum entspannen ein. "This is an excellent holiday property. You climb up to it via hairpin bends so take your time and just let the locals pass you in thier Fiat Pandas. The house is a few hunded metres out of village and such a tranquil spot. I almost dont want to give a god review to stop this place becoming to booked up for my next visit but that would be selfish. On the first morning when you throw open the french doors and sit and take in the views you will know you made the right choice. The hosts pop along...

"A lovely, comfortable and well equipped property in a quiet hilltop village with stunning views all round. We enjoyed the pool, especially the kids. It was a difficult to find the property on arrival despite the instructions provided, these could have more detailed and an accompanying map would have been helpful.We ended up parking our car in the village for the week as the narrow and steep road up to the property was challenging."

"This villa has beautiful views accross the valley. Weather was warm but changeable so the undercover eating area was very relaxing. Lots of room and well equipped. Pool lovely. Car recommended as location very hilly. 10 mins walk downhill to a lovely restaurant (ristorante rina). Water pressure could drop making showers challenging. Very nice housekeeper, Beatrice."

She made us all the local dishes, we tried her stunning wines and we got so much advice on where to visit on our trip from her. "The villa is wonderful. Amazing location in the hills, fantastic pool and outdoor space, comfortable traditional interior. Everything you need in the kitchen to prepare Tuscan meals. Piazza Al Serchio is within walking distance with good amenities, supermarket and train station. Local food and wine is superb and very good value. We cannot wait to return."
