"Wir waren mit 6 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern ( 1 bis 13 Jahren) für 1 Woche in der Villa. Die Anreise ist etwas mühsam, da die letzten 800m Schotterstraße wirklich eine Herausforderung sind. Für Ruhesuchende ist die Villa perfekt, ein großer Garten, ein wirklich großer Pool der jeden Tag gesäubert wird, jede Menge Liegen und Sitzmöglichkeiten laden zum entspannen ein. "Great location that was less than 10 min walk from La Spezia Central Station. Elisa provided great directions and restaurant suggestions and was very helpful but also left you alone to enjoy the place. There were 8 of us that could easily stay in the main villa and upstairs. Air conditioning worked great and kitchen, bathrooms and washer were great (we did a few clothes washes and hung them over night and most were dry in morning). Nice outside patio with lemon trees. "This is an excellent holiday property. You climb up to it via hairpin bends so take your time and just let the locals pass you in thier Fiat Pandas. The house is a few hunded metres out of village and such a tranquil spot. I almost dont want to give a god review to stop this place becoming to booked up for my next visit but that would be selfish. "A lovely, comfortable and well equipped property in a quiet hilltop village with stunning views all round. We enjoyed the pool, especially the kids. It was a difficult to find the property on arrival despite the instructions provided, these could have more detailed and an accompanying map would have been helpful.We ended up parking our car in the village for the week as the narrow and steep road up to the property was challenging."

"This villa has beautiful views accross the valley. Weather was warm but changeable so the undercover eating area was very relaxing. Lots of room and well equipped. Pool lovely. Car recommended as location very hilly. 10 mins walk downhill to a lovely restaurant (ristorante rina). Water pressure could drop making showers challenging. Very nice housekeeper, Beatrice."

"We loved our stay at the villa. There was plenty of room and the kids loved the pool. The hosts were helpful. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence are outstanding. The nearer towns of Barga and Castelnuovo are also very attractive. The area has recently been a center of attention on BBC with Amanda Holden, Rob Rinder and Clive Myrie. However, if you don't like heights and hairpin bends up a mountainside, this might not be the villa for you."
