Such a great place!
We spent a wonderful weekend in this beautiful place, we were received very hospitably, We were surprised that owner prepared some snack and water for us, on the last day we were allowed to stay as long as we want. Very nice place! I highly recommend!

Great stay at Grand Bear
Mark's apartment is very spacious and attractive, located in the Grand Bear Resort near Starved Rock State Park. The resort has its own attractions including a water park and mini-golf course, but we mostly hiked and enjoyed the park. We appreciated the thoughtful touches such as fresh fruit, muffins, and coffee left for us by our host. Great place!

We went to the Starved Rock, Buffalo and Matthiessen parks. Went to Ottawa, took river cruise. Enjoyed dinner in downtown Utica. Learned about the history of the area. Enjoyed Grand Bear resort and villa. Will go again.

Comfortable arrangements to visit Starved Rock!
A well-appointed and well-furnished house to use as a base to explore Starved Rock and other nearby State Parks. Mark is a very thoughtful host, and the welcome basket of bananas and muffins were a pleasant surprise! Located inside the Grand Bear Resorts, it is walkable to everything the resort has to offer. We will be back in summer, when the resort will be fully functioning.
