"This place was perfect!! It is very close to the train station and very close to the grocery store! The staff was so amazing and very helpful!! The food at the restaurant in the hotel was so good! The rooms were very clean and everything it felt very safe because you have to scan your room key to get to your specific floor and then scan your room key again to get into the hallway of your hotel room!! 10/10 and will most definitely be staying with Volkshotel on my next trip to Amsterdam and would...

"Modern amenities but really small rooms. Bathroom smelled a little bit like urine. Breakfast buffet was wonderful though! Just a few set s from amsterdam centraal!!"

"citizenM Amsterdam South is a unique chain of hotels with a micro footprint focus. Each room has an "open" show and toilet area in the main bedroom, partitioned by a glass tube and or curtain, which takes some getting used to. The staff is stellar, I enjoyed when they called us guest "citizens". The lobby feels akin to a hostel, in that its very communal, even with the likes of business workers. Its affordable and in a good location. Watch out for all the bikes!"

Location is perfect for getting around with the Central train station a 10 min easy walk away. Hotel is spotless, beds are very comfortable, and very quiet. "We stayed three nights. Easy check in, easy check out. No issues at all. Room is very big. Location is perfect. Very close to Amsterdam Central Station, but quiet. Hotel has the character and atmosphere of the Amsterdam. "

"Friendly check-in. Easy to Metro. The hotel is not the Ritz; a bit spent but central, clean and quiet (was on 4th floor). Room was adequate and big enough to move around in. Comfortable bed and hot water. Daily cleaning if you don't put out Do Not Disturb sign. Breakfast was available and coffee was free. Would have been willing to pay for a latte from a push button coffee machine used in other hotels I visited. BBC and CNN on TV. "
