"There is supposed to be no staff at all at this hotel, apart from housekeeping to clean the rooms after you check-out :) Check-in time starts from 3pm (won't work before that), with a QR code you will get after completing their pre-check-in system, they will remind you about that after you made the booking online. They will then give you the room number and password to open your lock of your room. No key basically There is a cafe at the ground floor might help for breakfast or light lunch....

"Higashiyama onsen is a lovely, narrow canyon on the outskirts of Aizuwakamatsu. The red and blue sightseeing buses stop within 150 yards of the hotel. The onsen baths are not too hot. The food is great. Our room was a regular one and was spacious. All in all it was a very nice place. "

"The hotel is situated up in the mountain and built right next to hill side. A great place to relax and just unwind closed to the nature. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. "If you decide to stay at Sansuiso, you have made the right decision. This is a beautiful onsen, with a variety of different type of waters, pools on the edge of the river. We stayed in the Japanese room which is always spacious and comfortable. Do yourself a favour and do the half board (or dinner) it will be one of the best meals you may have ever eaten. The staff is so friendly and helpful. "
