"Eric the concierge was amazing! Truly made the entire stay memorable and worthwhile. He was diligent in sharing tips for navigating Parisian culture for dining and transit. The hotel was not only well preserved piece of history, the rooms were bright and airy with plenty of room. Accessing the hotel can a challenge, with narrow staircases and small treads. The elevator can only be accessed from the 2nd floor as a result of historical preservation of the building. If you have any physical disability this hotel is not suited for you. We knew this prior to arrival so were prepared for the oddities that accompany an older hotel. Location was convenient access for walking everywhere and metro when needed. We LOVED our stay here and will be back!"

"Second visit to this hotel, previous room at the front of the building with views overlooking the various landmarks of Brussels, a quiet room with a nice view. This time I stayed in the garden area which was at the rear of the hotel, also quiet and overlooking the gardens with calming sounds of birds etc. both nice options. Used the gym and enjoyed excellent breakfast options, fresh fruit, pastries, hot cooked options and a new breakfast menu on each table to select from, a nice improvement which included a Belgian waffle. Breakfast again was excellent. The location is ideal for short stays with a metro nearby to visit other parts of Brussels and easy 8 stops from midi station. This hotel area is quiet and very convenient for working at the EU HQ. It is easy enough to get to the other areas if needed by transport. A nice option for short stays in Brussels. "Great stay at the Cardo. Fab suite, great breakfast, lots of choice. Spotlessly clean. Great service. The roof top pool is fab. You have to book a slot but it works well because it’s not over crowded. "
