"Simon and Lin were excellent hosts. Simon was there to greet us and hand over the keys. Everything about the property was spot-on. Kitchen was more than well equipped. I would certainly return to the same property if I were to return to Port Macquarie. Simon even allowed an extended check-out. Excellent."

"This was my second stay at the Hideout which is located near Wauchope and near walking trails in state forests. The house was immaculate and I received a warm welcome from the owners. Of particular mention is the wonderful down quilt on the bed. My little dog wandered around the grounds safely and enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the world around him."

"We had a wonderful time in this property. It was well-equipped, and spacious. Great for a group of adults with 4 bathrooms and a powder room. Access to a private boat ramp was a bonus for my fishing-mad brother. peaceful environment and good flat walking. Loved it!"

Best part of the property is the balcony. You have 180 degree view of crescent head town, mountains and ocean. Looks fabulous during night."

"What a great retreat place surrounded by lush greeneries around. So much space for our dog to run and roam around. Very clean and relaxing place.Highly recommended."

"Great place to stay, close to everything. Good leg workout up and down the hill with back and forths. Neighbour (resident) complains after 2 or 3 days of noise or music. 10 or more people make noise when together go figure and it is a long weekend. Beautiful outlook on top deck for morning cuppa and breaky. Great space within the house. If not for the neighbour would book again. She ruined the vibe but if you don’t mind would highly recommend."

"The numbers and symbols on the electronic numeric keypads are difficult to read in the evening and night times. Furniture is all new (seems to be IKEA throughout) and comfortable. With just 2 large stainless steel lidded pots, 1 saucepan, 2 frying pans and no serving dishes or serving spoons self-catering was a challenge. More rolls of toilet tissues would have been good, so that we didn't have to go to the shops to replenish."

"We loved our stay, perfect location we walked to dinner at the settlers inn highly recommend eating there, the kids loved the pool and the spa. Hated leaving will stay again"

"Great location with shops, restaurants/cafes, amenities close by. Would be an ideal house for families. Has plenty of seating areas inside and out. The dog loved running around outside under our management and there’s a fenced in courtyard with bbq and high table/chairs. Great spot for fishing as we saw plenty of fish."
