We were very much looking forward to our stay here and treated ourselves to a waterfront room thinking it would be really special. I have to say we were left with very mixed feelings about this hotel and I will provide I hope an unbiased fair review. The staff were without exception very friendly and welcoming. Our room on first impression was a lovely room recently refurbished and spacious. Unfortunately it smelt very badly of damp and upon inspection we noticed the carpet by the bed was soaking wet and the aircon was dripping. We reported it and someone came to fix it but they didn’t fix it! We reported it again and were told we could be moved but not until we returned from a night out for dinner. The hassle of moving everything late at night just for 2 nights didn’t seem worth it so we stayed where we were. Nobody returned to fix it and we were offered no compensation whatsoever.
The hot tub by the pool was broken and didn’t work. Neither did the card machine whilst trying to pay for a coffee.
The hotel itself is in a great location and on first impression it looks lovely - but it’s the attention to detail in maintenance that will leave customers disappointed with their experience of staying here.
