It looks to be outside of Skaneateles and technically that is true, but it is 5 minute drive next to the lake with beautiful homes, etc. The building itself is beautiful, old but with a lovely aesthetic. "First time guests, we were up for a long weekend. Excellent facility! Very comfortable, the room was spotless. Breakfast was delicious, and they were very welcoming and accommodating. Great location, near Geneva on the western side of Seneca Lake. Easy access to the wineries and distilleries around Seneca Lake and Keuka Lake. We definitely plan on staying there again."

"Our whole stay was beyond exceptional. We stayed here for a wedding on Seneca Lake. The history of the place was very interesting and informative. "Our stay at the Fox and the Grapes was excellent! We throughly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, the main fireplace in the great room/lobby, and fireplace in our East Lake room. This was the perfect home base for our Seneca Lake wine tour! We enjoyed meeting Guinness, the friendly B&B German shorthair pointer, who made us feel welcome as well. We will definitely be coming back! "
