Nooit Gedacht Heritage Hotel-Original Dutch Governor's House

3.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (37)
"Beautiful hotel located in a green garden with palms and leafy trees. Very quiet place, rooms are far from the road. The main noisemakers are chipmunks jumping on the roofs and munching on your fruits if you accidentally left it outside. Once I had a dinner there and I enjoyed the food. The hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful. I didn’t expect my calls will be answered at 4am when I arrived. However the hotel manager Jude was waiting for me and escorted me to my room. He also helped me...

"Levels was amazing! Its quaint atmosphere was so very inviting and the staff was truly so hospitable and AMAZING! The rooms were clean, spacious and the views were out of this world. We were provided exceptional service from Kumara, Rasika,Thilina, Sehan yasmka and chef sujith. They were friendly and kind, and the food prepared by chef Sujith was so so delicious — authentic Sri Lankan food to innovative new creations, he can do it all. Thank you levels for the best experience ever! "

"It was the worst hotel experience we had ever. Rooms were full with mosquitos, bed linen and pillow case covers was not changed when we arrived and they changed them after we checked in to the room and they sprayed bugs spray all over and it was difficult to breathe. It was raining and that room's electricity went off 4 times and each time it went to we had to run to the reception to inform them as they did not pickup phone. Finally they changed us to a difference room.food was worst.. after...

Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa

5.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (89)
"Had to wait over an hour past posted check in time. Was told some story about the AC, but, seems it was housekeeping as the floors were wet when we finally checked in. Room was run down..biggest issue was that neither of the two showers drained properly. In fact, sewage came up and created an offensive odor. This was reported to the front desk and repairs were attempted, but not done properly. So, the room still smelled BAD. Also, the workman left a BIG mess. I had to go to the front desk to...

Thambapanni Retreat

3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (39)
"Nice facility, our room was fairly unique with some fake rock. Our daughter's room had a cool outdoor bathtub. You get great use of two other Thambapanni resorts in the area. Rooms are large and interesting. Very musty. The air conditioner needed to be maintained to keep mildew out. Clothes drying rack, nice bathroom and good breakfast. Super accommodating staff. Unawatuna is a bit of a Russian tourist trap. Aggressive tuktuk drivers and merchants. Jungle Beach nice but crowded. The Sea Waves...

"One of few hotels with its almost private beach. Boutique but a little rough around the edges - so what if nothing is perfect - this isn’t Maldives. Great food, really friendly staff. No loud music and respectful guests. They are offering a great product, that’s why guests return. Easy tuktuk to busier area and boats to take you elsewhere. We were genuinely sad to leave. "
