"Stayed at Beach and Bliss for three nights in September. Hotel is located right on the beach. A few steps away. You can't swim there due to the rocks but the hotel has a great pool. "

"Levels was amazing! Its quaint atmosphere was so very inviting and the staff was truly so hospitable and AMAZING! The rooms were clean, spacious and the views were out of this world. We were provided exceptional service from Kumara, Rasika,Thilina, Sehan yasmka and chef sujith. They were friendly and kind, and the food prepared by chef Sujith was so so delicious — authentic Sri Lankan food to innovative new creations, he can do it all. Thank you levels for the best experience ever! "

"We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved."

"Let's just say, I will definitely return. Clean, design like, minimal hotel. Private access to one of the best beaches in the South. Staff are friendly and the place feels homely. Easy access to local beach bars, restaurants, the train station, etc. Walk, tuk tuk, book a car via the hotel. If you are looking to relax on a quiet elegant property, solo or with partner, take it day by day, with amazing views, I recommend the Sandhya. Thank you. Frances (British)"

"The location is awesome. The rooms are well designed and at a high quality standard (e.g. marble tiles in the bathroom. Bidet..) Bungalow with sea view - unbeatable. The location is not directly at the beach, but at an elevated location inside a forest area. So the view is incredible and super quiet. No street noise or smoke. Instead one can enjoy nature sound, birds, butterflies, some monekys climbing the trees and sometimes leguans and view at the sea the same time.The staff is very friendly....

"Great location far enough away from Mirissa. Peaceful and welcoming staff. Difficult to find a spot to swim in the ocean but possible to take a dip. Hotel pool wasn’t cleaned early enough for us to swim one morning (not open until after 8). Sri Lankan brekkie available as well as eggs and Gandon’s style, serving sizes were very generous. "

"I loved the location which was on the beach and it was a great view to see surfers surfing. Loved the food and the music wasn't too loud. I can't remember the name of the gentlemen staff but he spoke good English and was Sri Lankan who used to work in the middle east. He really really made us feel welcome and comfortable. "Had to wait over an hour past posted check in time. Was told some story about the AC, but, seems it was housekeeping as the floors were wet when we finally checked in. Room was run down..biggest issue was that neither of the two showers drained properly. In fact, sewage came up and created an offensive odor. "The good: 1. Location is very good. It's close to nice cafes and restaurants. 2. Internet is good for working and meetings. The bad: 1. They advertise the place as co-working and co-living space but at the check-out they surprise you by saying that "You have to pay separately for the coworking space." The coworking space is basically chairs and tables and yes, you have to pay extra for that even if youre staying at the hostel. Most importantly, nowhere in the booking they say that you have to pay separately and extra or using the tables and chairs of the coworking space. I went to 2 other co-living and co-working hostels afterwards and asked if i have to pay separately and they both said no. And their room price is the same as Sugar hostel. 2. There is no hot or even warm water for shower. None. 3. The rooms are extremely dark. The paint on the wall is black and there are very few and small lights that keep the room so dark. You cannot know that it is day or night if you are in the room. Generally, this hostel is too expensive for what they offer and it is very wrong of them to surprise the guests at the check out that they have to pay separately for the coworking space."
