"We had a great stay there. Was a little surprised how far out it was (45min from Reykjavik), but the drive ended up not being so bad. Nice little town, and very clean facilities!"

"Cozy wooden cabins in a nice location and a delicious breakfast. One thing to note is that cabins are joined in a longer house and are thus not soundproof - we could hear our fellow travelers talking, snoring, using the bathroom etc. The farm is now building another series of such cabins - perhaps they can take note of this issue especially for bathrooms - not nice to have to listen to your neighbor urinating when you are enjoying a glass of prosecco after relaxing in a nearby spa (Fontana)"

I'm late with the review but wanted to make sure that I wrote one since we very much enjoyed our stay at Lambastadir Guesthouse! "Very first time in a hostel type hotel. I booked a room with a 'small bathroom' heads up - that means there's a tiny sink in the room, you still share a shower/bathroom down the hall. Small kitchen to use and 2 bathrooms on the main floor. We got there and used the hot tubs had wine right away after a long day. Bring your own food so we snacked, showered before other guests arrived and made it an early night. It can get a bit noisy with other guests arriving, some making dinner etc. over all we...

"Lovely remote farm outside of Selfoss. Close to Golden Circle. We caught the Northern lights. Helena was friendly and welcoming. We missed her 6pm goat tour but hope to come back again. "

"Stayed her with my wife and son. Wonderful apartment in excellent location near golden circle and southern Iceland attractions. Would recommend it to anyone traveling with a family. "

"Absolutely gorgeous views. Ponies right outside the windows, rolling fields. Lovely hot tub that heated up fast. Clean, peaceful and beautiful. Owner was kind and helpful. Close to Selfoss and Hveragerdi. Close to riding stables. East drive to the crater, the geyser and Gulfoss. Everything we needed was provided. Traveling with our 5 children and everyone was comfortable and happy! Highly recommend! "

"This guesthouse is very good for the area and type of accommodation. Very friendly and quiet. No hassle Or waste of time to check in or out. Dinner was amazing and above average in Iceland (balance quality-price was quite good). Breakfast very good (by far very close or even better that most 4*hotels that I have ever been). Very cozy and warm room in a particular cold area."

"We stayed for a wonderful 2 nights at the Greenhouse Hotel. This hotel is one that I would highly recommend. It's ideally located for highland tours and the Golden Circle, but best of all, it has in-house food trucks offering a wide range of cuisines. The hotel also has a cafe, shop and local goods, including foods and handmade items from local artisans. This place is a must-stay, and if you are checking out the highlands, it's well worth the two-night option. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and happy to help with your tour and travel questions. The guests were a mix of young and old, small groups and couples. The atmosphere was warm and inviting; it was a place where you could cosy up in the public parts of the hotel and relax, work or unwind. This place might be my favourite. The location is also near a supermarket and a few petrol/gas stations. We felt really at home here. If you’re doing the Iceland ring road this is the perfect first stop. "

"Property is stunning and the on site thermal pool was great! Also dark enough that we got to see northern lights. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Right in the Golden circle area so very convenient for seeing the major sites in this part of Iceland. Only complaint is that breakfast for roughly $40pp looked very basic for the price- just some pre prepared eggs so we decided to skip it"
