"The hotel is very nice, clean and staff are friendly and loved the conservatory area. There is also a roof terrace which would have been great for trying to see the northern lights if it had been clear. The room was in good condition and had a lovely en-suite with great toiletries. The hotel itself is exceptionally warm throughout, a bit too warm at times and we didn’t find any ability to control the heat in the room other than opening the window. However, it is on quite a busy street so during the week it can start to get noisy with traffic. "

"The hotel was great. It is a remote location and it was the middle of the winter, so I think we might have been the only people in the hotel. We chose it because we wanted to be near Thingvellir and Gullfoss. The service and food was was excellent and I would not hesitate to stay there again. There is a natural spa nearby too. "

"Gorgeous spa hotel that included a soaking tub in the room. The restaurant was a bit lackluster, with the exception of the desserts- which were truly incredible. The restaurant was apparently undergoing a management change when we were there, so it is understandable that the meal was a bit chaotic. Overall, a lovely hotel in a great location and we would definitely stay again. "

"I wish I stayed there longer. The southern peninsula is awesome..geothermal stream and natural pools..hiking, northern lights, grocery store. A car is best so you can drive to Secret Lagoon, Selfoss..maybe to Reykjavic cause a cab is like $175. From KEF to Hveragerdi, same back to Reykjavic. "

"We had a great stay there. Was a little surprised how far out it was (45min from Reykjavik), but the drive ended up not being so bad. Nice little town, and very clean facilities!"

"This is an older motel/hotel and in a busy season it would probably be noisy. we had rooms near the reception & we’re pleased. The New Year’s Eve buffet was great but the sauna was lukewarm"
