"Well organized and run property... low cost private room with bathroom. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby for whatever you need. Free water and coffee (instant single serve coffee, obviously not fit connoisseurs). There are plenty of bus and subway connections nearby, but to get anywhere north of the river (which is where most tourist attractions are found) it's about a 30-45 minute public transit ride. Not bad at all, but it is the tradeoff for the low cost private room. ...

"Very nice for the cost! Inexpensive place to sleep and leave my bags in a central area it was easy to see so much of Seoul. The place was quiet and nothing was too dirty. Would absolutely stay here again!"

"I like the private room I stayed and loved the location of the hostel. The staff were very helpful. The only thing is that some of the other lodgers were not very respectful of the other people including the staff. They were loud at night and were not following the hostel rules."

"Overall it was a pleasant stay. Never met the host in person but she responded by text. Only two suggestions - i) better to change the door passcode every time with a new guest, for guest's security, ii) improve the water heater condition so water can be hotter."

"I loved staying in itaewon. Never a dull moment. Always so exciting. Staff was always super nice. I love the high tech samsung doorknob. Private room was very nice. I accidentally slept in on my last day and left a big pile of cans in my room. Im very sorry. Thank you for being such great hosts."

"This hotel was perfect. The location is ideal if you would like to enjoy the night market or do some shopping. The location has so much within walking distance. We knew the rooms would be small, but it worked well for our family of four and our kids loved their spaces. The staff was really the best part. Both at check in and check out. The staff was phenomenal. They spoke wonderful english and were incredibly helpful. Our flight came in late, and they texted to make sure we knew how to check...

"8000 won is an incredible amount to do a load of laundry. The free continental breakfast was very nice, yet no one hosted it. There was no one at the desk. I had woken up at 8am and a fellow said to come back at 10am for laundry assistance. I returned at 9:20am and ate breakfast and waited over two hours waiting for staff to help with my laundry, (per signage, on TWO mornings)! This is the first place I’ve ever stayed that insisted one throw-away toilet tissue rather than flushing it....

"The Oakwood is a residence hotel. I had stayed here before, and the experience was the same: a top-level hotel with nice amenities. The room was big and even had a washing machine. Recommend to anyone with an extended stay."

"My first time in Korea and I couldn’t have asked for a better location! EVERYONE was very helpful and hospitable. The hotel was located in a very central area-close to restaurants, transportation, and city life in Seoul. I felt very safe because there were police officers everywhere-especially at night. The ONLY glitch of the hotel was the shower curtain could be washed or replaced because it omitted a slight mildewy smell, but that’s it. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again. "

"This hotel is about 15 minutes from the Myeongdong Street Market/Food Street. There are a lot of good food around the area as well. The staff is super nice and extremely helpful. Whenever I needed something to be clarified or translated, they would assist and call or help look up different things/places for me. They provide a luggage delivery to the airport if need be as well as help look for transportation for you. I would definitely stay here again!"

"We had such great experiences to stay at this hotel. All staffs were very helpful to answer our questions & fulfill our reasonable requests. I have two constructive suggestions: #1. Expand the laundry room with more washing machines & dryers. #2. Enhance the front desk staffs’ knowledge on hotel tax refund. The hotel will need to provide the tax refund form to get the refund at the airport. However, the staffs only mentioned that the airport staff would have helped without providing me the the hotel stay tax refund form. I failed to get the tax refund at the airport because of this ><."
