"The only toilet facilities was a porta potty which smelled and looked like it had not been emptied in months. Shower did not have a way to lock the door of the only shower, to keep others out. We did not have cell phone reception because of the mountains and no way to contact the owner. No one was around to check us in."

"The grounds were beautiful! The tents were spaced out, but not so far that they didn't give a community feel. My boys really enjoyed the river access. It was shallow and easy to get to. Everything was well maintained and the grounds were very clean! I definitely recommend this place. It was an awesome experience."

"We were able to have great communication with the hosts Scott and Lynn, and Scott was there to meet us and give a quick lay of the land. We had a nice spot near the creek basically to ourselves and were able to have a great spot near DuPont and Pisgah bike trails! Definitely would recommend!"

"There was a damp smell in the condo. Found dead roaches above the kitchen, inside the lighting tiles. Told the front desk about it, and instead of apologizing she said it's because they sprayed. I guess nobody cleans up after. The indoor pool/spa closes at 8 pm, when still light outside. They should keep it open a least until 10pm. It's very boring after it gets dark, would be nice if they can keep the amenities open a little later."

"Lake lure took a big hit to the storm. But this cabin had all we needed to keep us occupied during our stay. Restaurants and some shops are open. Loved how everyone is so open to helping each other. House was so lovely, owner was very accommodating. Anytime I had a question. I texted him personally. He responded very quickly. I highly recommend this house. We will come back."
