"Stepping into this cabin, you can tell the host has thoughtfully and carefully worked through each detail to capture the history and beauty of the area. The cabin was so peaceful, with sounds of rain and the river nearby, beautiful lookout windows, and the comfiest bed. Woodstove kept us toasty warm (after a couple of failed attempts to start a fire), and the bathroom located just outside the cabin was the perfect refreshment needed.Kitchen is stocked with everything needed! Delicious waffles...

"Our second visit to Sandy River Lodge was just as wonderful as first stay. We had our whole family of 5 sons with families staying there and in neighborhood. We gathered together every evening for dinner. It was so special having the family all together and cooking in the well appointed kitchen was a breeze. With card tables we could fit everyone. Gathering on the deck was fun with hot tub a treat for all. Thank you for sharing your home with us! Jane"

"It's a great place to get away from everything and just relax. No tv and limited cell service but WIFi is available to keep in touch as needed. The property is very nice, well-heated in the cold, and big enough for 2 to be very comfortable. I would recommend this property without hesitation. The only 2 minor downsides are an overly soft/memory foam mattress and one home across the creek that has lots of lights that detracts a little from the secluded feel of the property. "

"This home was a darling little cabin that gave us the get away we needed. The only problem was, we got there at night, on a cold night, and it was FREEZING. there were two small electric heaters in the walls, but they took hours and hours to heat the place. While there was a fireplace, there was no wood- which is fair, but we got there super late and after dark so we couldn't get wood anywhere. Additionally, there was some sort of other heat source in the cabin- I think it was some sort of...

It's about 40 minutes away from Mt. Hood Meadows, in a quiet neighborhood complete with its own peacock who visits the backyard in the afternoon. We had a few minor inconveniences that prevented a five-star rating (ants in the kitchen that got into our food and on us, TV streaming service that didn't work for most...
