"The hotel was right in the middle of Stresa and a 5 minute walk from the lake. A charming hotel and friendly owner and staff. There is parking, but we were lucky to get a space as it's a public carpark."

"Perfect location, stayed in a suite, enough room for 5 people, very clean, swimming pool great, great bar/restaurant and very reasonable prices and food was delicious! You do need a car to get about. Air conditioning not great, WiFi bit weak, and not so great mosquitos! "

"Beautifull, well equiped appartement with a great view over Lago Maggiore. A good place to visit the surroundings, a boattrip to Cannobio is a must. But don’t forget Tronzano and Pino Lago Maggiore, nice places with good alimentari. The owner is nice, helpfull and quickly responds."

"Only perfect!! The house is located 300m above the lake and offers a fantastic panoramic view on the lake and the mountains behind. Sunny terrace with comfortable chairs. Well equipped. Nice barbecue. Also perfect for our little dog. Little shop about 1,5km downhill walk (a bit steep). Driving uphill is on a typical Italian narrow street. We used our BMW X5 - and also with this German „Dickschiff“ no problem. All friendly drivers! Nice beaches (don’t forget to bring shoes) and great pizza in the...

"Well, Expedia wrote $5 city tax at booking time, the host charged CHF 11.50 ($15!) right before the stay. Even worse, to be paid either by a weird local swiss payment system or paypal. Nothing else, no cash no credit card. Not great at all. Also quite noisy apartment. Otherwise clean and ok. "

"We LOVED our stay here. Our room included wellness and breakfast. The Wellness area offered an indoor pool and hot tub as well as mixed gender steam room. The sauna, relaxation area, cold plunge and change rooms are gender specific. We celebrated our engagement here and they upgraded us to a beautiful premium suite with a balcony. The breakfast was delicious with many different pastries, fruit, yogurt, meats, and cheeses. The property grounds were gorgeous - I recommend walking around to check out the view. We wished we’d booked another night! "

"La Palma was the perfect stay for Stresa. The lake view room balcony could not be beat. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The Sky Bar was a wonderful way to spend an early evening for drinks and the hotel is centrally located with a great breakfast. Highly recommend and would stay again! "
