"Beautifull, well equiped appartement with a great view over Lago Maggiore. A good place to visit the surroundings, a boattrip to Cannobio is a must. But don’t forget Tronzano and Pino Lago Maggiore, nice places with good alimentari. The owner is nice, helpfull and quickly responds."

"Only perfect!! The house is located 300m above the lake and offers a fantastic panoramic view on the lake and the mountains behind. Sunny terrace with comfortable chairs. Well equipped. Nice barbecue. Also perfect for our little dog. Little shop about 1,5km downhill walk (a bit steep). Driving uphill is on a typical Italian narrow street. "Well, Expedia wrote $5 city tax at booking time, the host charged CHF 11.50 ($15!) right before the stay. Even worse, to be paid either by a weird local swiss payment system or paypal. Nothing else, no cash no credit card. Not great at all. Also quite noisy apartment. Otherwise clean and ok. "

Beautiful view from Balcony.

"Room was large and airy, view from small balcony was beautiful over the lake, worth the extra for a room with a view. We used the free Ticino card the hotel give, to take the funicular up to Mount Bré. Breakfast was pleasant although coffee was not very nice. Not sure why there were peas & carrots on offer at breakfast never seen this before is it a Swiss thing?? Bar underneath the hotel was good. Unfortunately we had rain so didn’t go to the sundeck. "

"If you value beauty and tranquility then this is your place. Hotel La Palma was gorgeous. The staff were great and friendly. The location was perfect, you are able to see the coastline and the mountains. It is conveniently located near the train station so if you’d like to go into a busier area you have that option. My accommodation included complementary breakfast and it was so good! It had a lot to offer which was nice. "

"We wanted an elegant Italian hotel full of style, and this hotel certainly delivered. Our room was upgraded to a lake view, presumably because the hotel wasn’t full. Everywhere you looked there was art work, beautiful decor and a luxurious feel, without being overwhelming. The staff could not be more helpful and professional, particularly the concierge. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of food. The bed was quite firm and the cute balcony would have been the perfect place to sit and relax looking at the lake, had it not been for the weather - it rained! However, we would love to return to the hotel some time in the future, with fingers crossed for sunshine."
