"It was the most relaxing stay we have had in a long time. Pat met us when we got in and made sure we got the lay of the land. The next morning, the peacocks were on the porch, dozens of birds at the feeders, the buffalo, goats and chickens were so cool! Robin, the blacksmith, was able to spend some time with us. "Overall we had a great time! Communication with the host prior to our trip was great. I had difficulty viewing messages and never received a return call regarding suggestions on parking multiple cars since the driveway is very steep. I was thankful a light was left on downstairs since I arrived late by myself and the solar lights outside had already turned off. "The house was more beautiful than the pictures. Clean, spacious, comfy beds, hot showers and an amazing kitchen! So much space to spread out and find a comfy space to read or unwind. We arrived a day ahead of Hurricane Helene and survived this horrific storm in this well built home. Coming from Nee England, we had never experienced a storm of this fierce magnitude but we see thankful that we were in such a safe house. This property is a hidden gem and we truly enjoyed everything about it....
