The view of the lake and the mountains beyond made the hot trek up the hill from Lenno worth it (and equally walking down the hill to Lenno brought us quickly to a lovely waterfront setting). The house was immaculate and really well equipped for out stay. "What a view! My favorite part of the house were the beautiful upstairs bedrooms looking out over the Alpine homes, trees, and flowers. The bedrooms are comfortable and full of Italian history and antiquities. Be aware that taxis are hard to come by, and it is quite a trek to the house. My husband is 75 and I am 63, and we both made it, but you do need to be in good shape. Ask for very specific directions because the GPS got us very close, but then it required a neighbor to help us find our way....

"Property is beautiful! Originally rented for a party of four, when plans changed we kept the reservation for the two of us. Plenty of space. Nice furniture. Fabulous views! Nice outdoor space. The only drawback for the summertime was no air-conditioning, but that only came into play when getting ready for a black-tie event. Sleeping was comfortable as bedrooms have ceiling fans. Our only regret was not having the time to "hang out" at the property or have people over. Would most definitely rent...
