We like that we get futons and sleep on the floor. Front desk staff speaks limited English, but they try their best to answer our questions. "Lovely decorated ryokan, but no lift to the rooms. Rooms were very nicely equipped even though it was not large. My room windows faced the river with the “rotating” bridge over the river to Amanohashidate, the view was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great, next to the area’s main attraction. Some shopping on the road leading to ryokan, the Kaiseki meals were well presented. Delicious meal even with the ingredients not top grade."

We had a superbly decorated very very very large traditional room (tatamis), a view of the little port and the sea of Japan with sunset…. "really good facility, close to the water front which i love and in between several areas of interest that you can walk to. The showers and baths were an added bonus as we didnt know that it would include the hot bath, really good to come back to that after a long day.
