"Very friendly helpful staff. The grounds and casitas are nice and the views of the lake and volcano are really nice. Of course, the flies are incessant in the morning. They seem to fade away in the afternoon and evening. The hotel is a short drive to the start of Mt Batur hike and you can hire a guide at this hotel. Highly recommend the hike. "Toilet broken, shower very little pressure but we had hot water, bed were comfy, no air conditioning, no fan Safe not working Nice hot spring pool but they filled it up only one night. Breakfast was ok. Served in the garden but thousand of flies… Will not recommend "

"If you are searching for total isolation, this villa is right up your alley. There are no taxi services and no restaurants other than the villa’s which has limited meal options. The villa is located in a farming and very poor part of Bali. The flies are constant which makes sitting outside uncomfortable. For meals, we ate in our room so as to elude them. We had three nights booked but only stayed for two."

"Summary We'd recommend the Bamboo house for one night specifically to the do the hike only. Go for the cheapest room. We booked two nights at the bamboo house, via Hotels.com, with the idea of hiking Mount Batur. Presumably like many other people visiting the area. We booked the king size deluxe room, the one with the triangular bamboo ceiling/roof, which was twice the price of a standard room. When we arrived we were shown to a standard room. "Nice spacious room. No hot shower but they have a hot shower in the thermal pool area. 5 hot thermal pools and 1 cold pool. Hot pools are drained every night and fresh water added so no chemicals used. Nice relaxing location. Would stay here again. Value for money and easy to organise day trips to the lava fields, lake and mountain"

"One of the best hidden gem in Kintamani area. This place has best view of mountain and lake. All staff is very friendly & helpful. The access to property is a bit confusing, you should ask around in case if you got lost. But it’s super worth it. I want to come back again for sure!"

"I booked this location because on GPS it seemed walkable. The road from the main road is really steep, and I would not say it is walkable to the main. The area around the property is very nice walk in the rice fields. There are a few nice big restaurants near by, and its wonderful to see fireflies at night. "

"I had a great experience at the hotel. They have lot of dining options and a shuttle available to go to Ubud City. On my last day I had a negative experience with breakfast. I had explained about the egg allergy. They brought meal with egg. They took it back and removed the egg from my plate. I kindly explained that they need to remove the areas that there were bits of egg. They took it back and did the same thing again. I gave up and ate a bit of my breakfast and lost my interest in eating. This would be my biggest concern that they would need to make a new meal if my allergy was serious. Overall my stay was great. "
