"The location was excellent. We had booked a room with a city view but all we saw was an alley. Staff were very nice and we had our laundry done for 30 euros! The breakfast was good but if you wanted eggs etc it was an extra fee which was not obvious. Area was noisy at night. Overal a nice stay in Porto. "

"This hotel is in middle of the city which is great if you want to walk around and eveything was easy to get to. Getting a taxi is easy or bolt like uber is very friendly. The staff is super nice and friendly the breakfast was serviced with so much care. We enjoyed that alot. But the bed is hard mattresses that was very uncomfortable for us. The room we selected was garden facing but no view of the garden that was disappointing. The sofa bed was also not very comfortable. "

"The hotel is difficult to locate, Google maps takes you to one street over. When you find the front door it looks like an apartment entrance in a row of shops. Then you have to climb stairs. But it is worth the effort. Great staff and service. Lots of character and very clean."

"We absolutely loved the Lost Garden! This special place was created with intention and offers truly beautiful food, linen, garden, swimming pool, drinks, soaps, and people! The colors and calming decor combined with aromatherapy and a stunning view really created an invitation to breathe. "A wonderful and warm welcome and greeting by Leonor. Her English is excellent and made us feel very welcome. Later in the evening, there are a few - possibly homeless people around the street. They do not seem bad though and mind their own business. The Mercator do Balhão is just down the road. Amazing experience and great restaurants on then top level. The lower level has souvenirs and fresh seafood and wine-tasting stations. "

Spacious and clean

"What a great space. Beautiful and across from a really great bakery. It's a little bit of walk to the river but a very comfortable one with local small boutiques. Enjoyed it a lot to be just a short walk away from everything but not in a touristy busy area"

"Great location - Heroismo station literally a minute to the right oppsite the Hotel.Modern hotel with good facilities and helpful attentive staff, lovely comfortable room, great stay.Good local bars and restaurants. My first time in Porto and i am in awe, such a beautiful city but despite the weather i still managed to see many sights and visit 4 cellars and sample the famous Port ( including a visit to The Douro valley).Looking foward to returning to Porto in the near future - with nicer weather and have no hesitation in staying at the Timbre Heroísmo again. MUITO OBRIGADO."
