"We stayed for one week. This was an outstanding place to stay. The photos and description don't even do it justice. There are views of the Matterhorn from every room and a cozy balcony and hot tub. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Owners are extremely responsive. There is a lift that takes you to street level that is easy and convenient. "Very cool little chalet/cabin in La Sage (Evolene). Best for 2 people max. and despite the size, having 2 floors to spread is decent. The outdoor balcony/deck facing the mountain...esp with the great weather makes in a gem. Plenty of hiking right around the village too. Will rent the larger one next time, if available"

"Great Bear is a lovely chalet with breathtaking views in a unique environment. I cannot think of a better summer escape, given the stunning surroundings of the Val Hérens, the local cuisine, produce, meat products, and delicious wines. The chalet fits the rustic character of the tiny village perfectly, while affording the necessary comforts for an Alpine stay. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!"

"Fantastic place to stay! We really felt at home in this chalet and could not have been more impressed with the amenities and the views. We took full advantage of the fireplace, the hot tub, the slide and the outdoor reclining chair. We even spent a rainy day cooking traditional Swiss recipes and playing board games. We could not have asked for anything more and really felt that this chalet was a huge player in our magical Swiss vacation!"
