"Pal’s is an older hotel with a terrific ocean front location. The room was very small but well equipped. Clement was very helpful with getting us settled in and suggested a nice restaurant for us."

"We really enjoyed our stay. Mirko was very helpful with setting up an excursion, and we appreciated the mid-week visit by the hospitality team. It was wonderful to have the screened in porch area as we were getting rain most evenings and various biting bugs were active (everywhere, not just at the house). We also appreciated good screens on the windows so that we were able to have windows open when we didn't want to use the AC. Only very minor criticism is that there were no hair dryers although listing states that they are provided - just would have brought one if I'd known. "

"If a person enjoys beautiful sunrises this is the place to be. If you are looking for a home away from home Kathy’s home has everything you need. This is a very well equipped home with all of he kitchen appliances you need including food processor, microwave, juicer, coffee makers and bbq. Although the home is air conditioned, we found that with the continual warm breeze off the sea it was rarely used. The ocean was very nice to swim in but one has to walk out a few hundred feet before the water gets deep enough to swim in. The shallowness is great for children though. One problem was the very rough road to get to the village for shopping. Whenever we had to head into Hopkins village (10 minutes away) one had to be patient with all the potholes. Janette, the property manager was always very responsive to any issues we had (which were few). Also, the neighbours who own the adjacent property, were friendly although we tried to respect their privacy. We would definitely stay at Kathy’s again if we return to Hopkins. "

"Our stay in Hopkins was unbelievable. Our group of nine adults had plenty of space for congregating and privacy. The property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The pool was comfortably heated, the beach cleaned and raked. Miss Shelley had a delicious dinner cooking for us when we arrived and Lester was readying the pool. They were the real stars of our stay We were worried staff may cramp our style but they truly made the trip. Shelley set us up with fantastic tour guides for Mayan Ruins, cave tubing, and zip lining. Lester was incredibly kind and thoughtful, checking on us daily and readily available. We have all decided we need to stay longer next time or maybe just move to Belize! We could not have dreamed of a better place to stay. Perfection. "

"Can't say enough about how wonderful this little Hopkins gem is! Right on the beach and at the same time in the centre of a walkable village! Bought our fruits and veggies on the street, best coffee right next door, and several rustic beach restaurants within easy walking distance. We tried them all and enjoyed every meal. This is a real village, not a resort, so expect the sounds and friendly people of every day life. Don't forget to tip the gentleman who cleans and rakes the sand all the way from the bungalow to the water (keeps the sand flee population down) "
