"Clement, the owner of the property, was very kind and helpful. The room was simple but clean. A great value. Nice location right on the ocean and near a beautiful river. A water machine to refill your water bottle was available with nice cold drinking water. I will definitely stay again next time I’m in Dangriga. "

"Loved our stay in the Mahogany beachfront suite. The hotel grounds were spotless and the staff was always available for anything we needed. Enjoyed lunch in the main restaurant and had a nice dinner at the pizza restaurant. Tried to get ceviche one evening but they were closed at 7:10 despite a posted closing time of 7:30. Kayaks and a sailboat are available for guest use and we found them to be in good condition. The location is a bit out of town so you need some kind of transportation if you want to leave the resort. We used the complimentary bicycles to go to Hopkins Village during the day but the bikes are not an option for dinner as they have to be back by 5pm. We would stay again."

"Before I left for Belize, I was in a dark place. I booked this trip as a last-ditch effort to find some peace of mind, and looking back, it was the best decision I could’ve made. I originally planned to stay somewhere else, but when that resort was fully booked, I landed here instead—and I truly believe everything happens for a reason. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, safe, and cared for. I met some incredible people who I can’t even call staff—they felt like friends. Michelle, Wilber, King, Kobe, Tanisha—everyone was so kind, and once they found out I was traveling solo, they always checked on me. Michelle even helped me find someone to do my hair! Their warmth made my stay unforgettable. About Hopkins Village: This isn’t just a place to visit; it’s a place to experience. Everyone smiles at you, everyone is kind—just make sure you’re kind back. It’s a humble beachside village full of love, culture, and flavor, and that’s what makes it special. A Few Things to Know: 🔹 No full-length mirror in my room—something to keep in mind if that matters to you. 🔹 The restaurant closes about an hour after check-in (around 4:30 PM), so if you’re arriving late, grab some food beforehand or wait until dinner at 6. Other than that, this stay was exactly what I needed. If you’re looking for a resort where you’re treated like family, where the people truly care, and where you can reconnect with yourself in a beautiful, peaceful setting, this is the place. I'd return in a beat."

"If a person enjoys beautiful sunrises this is the place to be. If you are looking for a home away from home Kathy’s home has everything you need. This is a very well equipped home with all of he kitchen appliances you need including food processor, microwave, juicer, coffee makers and bbq. Although the home is air conditioned, we found that with the continual warm breeze off the sea it was rarely used. The ocean was very nice to swim in but one has to walk out a few hundred feet before the water gets deep enough to swim in. The shallowness is great for children though. One problem was the very rough road to get to the village for shopping. Whenever we had to head into Hopkins village (10 minutes away) one had to be patient with all the potholes. Janette, the property manager was always very responsive to any issues we had (which were few). Also, the neighbours who own the adjacent property, were friendly although we tried to respect their privacy. We would definitely stay at Kathy’s again if we return to Hopkins. "
