"The cabin was amazing; very clean with everything we needed for our brief stay. A great re-model by the owners. Close to the Sipsey Wilderness/Bankhead National Forest where we enjoyed hiking. We fished off the dock at the cabin and enjoyed the beautiful view of Smith Lake, one of our favorite places to be. Near Chef Troy's Talk of the Town restaurant, very good food and service. Just a suggestion for the owners-you may want to mention the driveway being very steep and rutted. We were in a 4x4 pickup and had no trouble at all, but anyone using a smaller car may bottom out in some spots. Just a heads-up would be worth mentioning. Overall, a fantastic stay! We will certainly be back. Thank you to the owners, great little cabin!"

"We loved everything about this property. The house was exceptionally clean. The lake property is not a terrible steep hill so my parents did not have an issue with getting down to the boat dock or fireplace area. My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. We hope to return for another visit when the water warms up. I will say. this property has a lot of boat traffic so it is not the best location for dock fishing. Either way, my boys had a blast! Five stars! "

"Beautiful, spacious home with amazing lake views! My family truly enjoyed our stay at Pittman Rock. The house was super clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed to make all meals, which was a plus considering not too many places DoorDash to the area. The only downside, in my opinion, is the steep driveway and gravel road leading to/from the property. Otherwise, everything was perfect!"

"My family stayed for spring break and had a great time. The house is just as described and communication with the owners was excellent. They responded to all my questions and even worked with my husband to find a place to launch our boat and store the trailer. Our kids ranged in ages from 8 to 19 and they all loved it. We played on the rocks, kayaked, and enjoyed the 2-story dock each day. We enjoyed everything about our stay and hope to return next year! "

"We had a great mini-vacation at Bushy Creek this week. The house was perfect for our family of 6 (and a dog) and was very clean and seemed fairly updated. With 4 bedrooms, 7 beds, and an open living space, there was more than enough space for everyone in our family. There were large “smart” flatscreen TV’s in 3 of the bedrooms, as well as phone chargers and plenty of accessible outlets. Outside, there’s a great porch with ceiling fans and chairs, a nice patio and a fire pit where we had a fire every night. We also grilled out every night on a large, clean gas grill. The dock was in good condition, with a large lily pad that our kids played on. The house is only a 5 minute drive to Arley, so we were able to do a “quick” run to the store for anything we needed. The owners were great. When we arrived, there were a lot of sticks, branches and other debris around the dock that were deposited there by the prior week’s storms and tornados. We were worried that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the water with no way out of our contract, but the owner was easy and offered to give us a refund. That gave us the confidence to stay one day at a time, which allowed us to see the debris clear up every afternoon and experience the fun we had around the fire pit every night. We ended up staying the whole time and had a great family trip. We’re definitely going back! "
