"Annual girls trip; expectation of relaxation and fun. Upon arrival the Lodge was clean, new carpets, clean walls, new kitchen and well appointed/decorated throughout- looks can be deceiving. Preliminary walk around and checks found there was no fire alarms, fire blanket and no Welcome pack or inventory list of what to expect or where to go for emergency planning. "Property was impressive, finished to a high standard, very clean and tidy. Perfect place for a short family break. Close to plenty of days out suitable for kids, went to Yorkshire wildlife park which we would highly recommend too. The garden space and lawn out the front was ample for kids to run around and play."

"A great little cottage with plenty of amenities, however disappointed to only have 2 wine glasses and 4 mugs for a group of 6 ladies, who all love wine and all love tea, which made it very challenging and annoying. Would recommend for anybody looking to venture to sherwood forest area, as very close to sherwood forest visitor centre. a great Italian restaurant in the village too, 100 yards from the cottage, which was lovely. all in all a great cottage and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again."

"We had a really nice little break as a family, but there were a few things that were a little disappointing given the fact the house appeared on paper to be high end. We arrived with excited kids to find the hot tub was not switched on, so this took 24 hours to heat. A real shame when you only have a short break. "i went with my daughter, had an amazing time! my cousins were at arena uk just 7 mins drive. so had the comfort of being able to relax at the beginning and end of day. Loved the fact had internet and watch all my favourite programmes on Netflix etc. My daughter was able to chill in her own room with tv at the end of a busy day. "

"Lovely lodge location, everything we needed for our stay. A few snags which I contact the host about, a bit disappointed that they weren’t picked up by cleaners or owner. I know you shouldn’t expect anything on arrival, but most places I have stayed always leave a little something like milk & biscuits or the like, but it didn’t stop us having a wonderful time. "
