"Very spacious and clean. Nicely decored and homely. Everything you need is there and the host is very good and responsive to queries. The lodge is situated on a nice quiet camp site and has its own single carspace right outside. Basic toiletries (soap and showergel) were provided as were towels and bedding. tea, coffee and sugar were also there and the host provided a small pint of milk and a small pack of biscuits on arrival. "Served its purpose for a one night stop over, basic and a bit tired, stains on sofa and carpet, only one double sofa which sank when you sat on it so the third person had to sit on a hard dining chair. Basic utensils, no wine glasses but did have a gravy boat 😁 comfortable beds, met by the pleasant host, all in all fine "

"We were made very welcome by the owner Graham, everything supplied in the welcome pack, even dishwasher and washing tablets. Beautiful clean lodge with amazing views and very private. Hot tub is gorgeous after a long day of walking. Plenty of local walks but poorly sign posted through fields if you didn’t want to walk on the lanes or busy roads. Would probably drive to a location and walk rather than trek from lodge when we return which we are already planning for winter."
