"My partner and I (and our dog) stayed at Gemma’s lovely cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Communication was prompt, the cottage was immaculate when we arrived and fully equipped, and the village of Burythorpe was beautiful! Highly recommend popping into the pub across the street as it was lovely. Gemma also provided several great recommendations in the guest book and we are sad that we couldn’t get to everything in our weekend stay! Would definitely come back, thanks Gemma!"

I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "We had a great stay in this idealic little village with a pub literally across the road. The location was perfect to explore Yorkshire. Pam & Richard were very welcoming and available but left us to ourselves which we appreciated. The house was warm, the shower hot and the bed comfy. All that you could want. "

"The cottage is in a lovely location, very close to Filey, with some lovely walks around the village. The quirky Ship Inn (100 yds away) provides wonderful food and a very warm welcome. The 'little Stithy' cottage was very comfortable, however, we felt it didn't need the kitchen in the same room. We were kept awake most of the night from the humming of the fridge and the bright timer light on the microwave! A tea towel remedied this.
