"My daughter and I stayed here while participated in the 2024 Columbia Gorge Marathon (her) and half (me). This was the perfect “home” to base from. Close to the event, but not right in the middle of it all. In fact the marathon course passed right by it. The location was very clean and stocked. The beds were also comfortable and well appreciated. We would absolutely stay here again. "

"We love the Thunderhead Lodge and have stayed in many of the rooms. We love this place. The only thing I could say negative is that the pool is no longer 102 degrees. The heater doesn’t work as well and they’ve tried to fix it but it isn’t working still. It was about 92 degrees according to the owner who’s in a law suit with the company that fixed it. So hopefully they get it back to where it was because if it’s windy outside at all during the winter, it’s unbearable to go in."

"We loved being able to walk to the main downtown area, and took advantage of it each day. There was plenty of room and it was nice that their were two showers. We didn't use the kitchen much but it seemed to be well equipped, and it was great that there was an electric kettle. The only downsides were the incredibly creaky floors, kind of thin walls, and one of the beds was not very comfortable (no support and super squeaky). Nothing that was a big problem."

"We came to Hood River to visit and spend Thanksgiving with our daughter and husband. The location was easy to access, close to their home, and downtown. The place was warm and cozy for our needs. "The inside of the condo looks like a cabin and is really nice. The outside of the building looks dingy and unkept. The location is nice and walking distance to restaurants and the general store. There were a few issues: I found an old razor on the window sill in one of the bathrooms, they didn’t have an iron and ironing board even though I was told there was going to be one and no AC (they did provide fans)."

"This home is perfectly perched at the top of the hill for stellar sunrises and sunsets which we loved. Well appointed, had all the cooking supplies we could need. Hot tub was a great perk. Only thing to keep in mind is the house can take a while to heat up in the winter in sub 30 degrees so just be sure to run that and the fireplace immediately at check in and you’re good to go!"
