"Happy Minnewaska is a great place for making memories! Our family really enjoyed our time there, relaxing, hiking in the surrounding area and making s'mores around the campfire. The house is just as pictured, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking, which is all we did. "We did not end up staying at this property because the host cancelled on us the day before. He reached out 2 months prior to tell us his pool would not be available and offered us a 20% refund. But he never provided it and did not communicate about this again. When we followed up about it, he cancelled the whole stay and tried to get us to change properties last minute. "Was able to get an early check-in and start the fun at the water park. Room was really nice, booked the two bedroom balcony suite. Got an upgrade to the courtyard view. Seen poor reviews about food and service, but we enjoyed our meals and had no issue with service. Stayed on a Saturday night, so main "complaints" are that most restaurants only opened after 4pm, some areas of the water park were temporarily closed, and even though we had access to the water park on our check out date, the water park opens right at check out time which wouldn't have given us a chance to shower in our afterwards. Wish the water park opened earlier so we could've enjoyed it for a bit before checking out. All in all, it was a good stay and will definitely be back."
