"We arrived to be told the authorities decided to close certain roads in the town on a Saturday and Sunday after COVID until 4pm .The car park was a 3 minute walk away but getting to it by car proved difficult as the SAT nav wanted to take us along the closed roads .After much frustration we got there in the end .It's sign posted for use of guests of the lion hotel but you can parkin it if you are staying at the Prince Rupert. "I arrived after a rather heart-stopping journey through Storm Darragh. And as I was checking in the power went off. There were a few refugees from the storm and staff who couldn't get home after their shift. The kitchen was in darkness and powerless so no food available but the bar did stay open! The staff were cheerful and helpful finding a duvet to wrap up a chilly lady. True community spirit at it's best!"
