The villa's are starting to become a bit run down and need some updating, however they are kept very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a lot of rubbish on the beach, making it hard to enjoy with the kids, but this seems to be a problem throughout the island. "After being in Bangkok for a week I couldn’t have imagined staying somewhere as relaxing and accommodating as Mae Rim. Everyone went above and beyond. My family and I were treated like royalty, we truly just would wake up and breakfast would be served. They even helped plan activities to assisting us with transportation. My family and I agree that this was without a doubt the most satisfying place we have ever stayed at. "

"A nice lil’ getaway for my husband and I. We loved the private room and personal pool! The bed is VERY comfortable! Thankfully we had a sunny week so room 3 worked great for a sunny swim! "This place was beautiful, luxurious and exactly as pictured. 6 people could stay here comfortably. Staff was friendly, helpful and responsive. The pool is cleaned daily, along with the rest of the villa. It is easy to get Grabs from here and many restaurants deliver though Grab as well. There is also room service - the food is pretty good. Many restaurants and shops a few minutes away by car or bike. The only downside for us was that the beds are too firm. I would love to return here. "

"Akra hotel was a great stay; spacious, clean, and with a dedicated staff. Communication may be a slight issue with some language barriers. This hotel is, however, not very close to many of the attractions or places to visit in Phuket, which is apparent if you look atthe location of the hotel on the map. It's made accessible via Grab. Approximately 45-60 minutes to either old town Phuket or Petang, and further from southern beaches. Some smaller cities are nearby with good beaches & good food."

"Beautiful hotel, we upgraded to the supercar theme 2 bed suite for our vehicle mad children - the attention to detail with the theming is fantastic - even the ceiling fan had finish flag print all over. 5 & 8yos enjoyed some time in kids club, especially the rock climbing & cookie making - Otto and his team are so lovely with the kids.
