"We have stayed many incredible and beautiful places all over the world. Te Karaka Lodge is completely in a class by itself! Everything and everyone in this place is superb. There is not one little detail which is not lovingly cared for by the staff. It is a gorgeous place in gorgeous surroundings. "The standard of accommodation was excellent as was the communication with the host. Location within a reasonable distance from the airport is a plus.....but a challenging location for shopping for supplies without access to a motor vehicle as is a long steep driveway to access the property. We were surprised that there was no free to air television coverage which was not disclosed at time of booking. Overall, we would book again for our needs, but issues highlighted will surprise and disappoint...

"Warm and cosy, modern kitchen great for cooking. Good heating and a nice big shower, needs a non slip mat. Love the farm vibe, oranges right outside the kitchen window. Private and safe. I think the sheets and duvets were singles put over the queen size bed, otherwise perfect with the electric blankets."
