"Once I got used to the slopes on the bedroom flooring, but what can i expect for the age of the hotel, it was a beautiful room in a historical setting with a modern friendliness throughout wether that is staff, locals or guests! "

"It's lovely to stay at an independent hotel rather than one of the chains, and this hotel retains the age and character of it's surroundings. Our room was large and comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. From the quirky staircases to the charasmatic manager, this was a joy to stay in. Breakfast was outstanding, definately not the greasy help yourself job that is so common now. Parking is a little challenging, especially if your car is on the longer side, but that just reflects the nature of the town, and we were able to park a short distance away for a small fee. Would definitely come here again!"

"This is the second time we’ve stayed here and this time was just as good as the first! It’s very dog friendly, our room was spacious and clean and the staff (and guests!) were all really friendly. We ate in the bar one evening. I’m a pescatarian and I had the Nourish Salad Bowl with crispy smoked tofu. I’m not always the keenest on tofu however this meal was absolutely delicious! My partner had the Sausage and Fennel Ragu and he loved that too. Looking forward to our next visit already! "
