"The Raratongan Resort was amazing! The snorkeling was some of the best anywhere-hundreds of fish (including so many nurseries with babies), lots of coral, many, many eels, and turtles; the beach was beautiful; the staff and activities were terrific; the room was wonderful; and the breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had anywhere! What a paradise!"

"We made a last minute decision to spend a few days in Rarotonga on our way to New Zealand. Motu Beachfront Villas turned it into one of the best vacation decisions ever. The property is immaculate and our villa gorgeous. We were met by the lovely Mii who immediately made us feel welcome. We were so appreciative of our upgraded villa complete with everything we needed - even snorkel equipment and food in the fridge. Mii even took us to the grocery to get the rest of the things we needed. There are several restaurants in walking distance and a car rental right next door should you need it. The beach at Motu is beautiful with great snorkeling, kayaks are available as well, even a clear kayak if you're not a snorkeler. The pool and bar area are wonderful, too. We were sad we could not have stayed longer. We met another couple who were spending a month at Motu and we could easily see why. Motu is a slice of paradise and Mii a warm and beautiful hostess."

"The location was lovely, but the onsite managers were rarely “onsite,” they would not allow us to have complimentary late checkout, (not even an hour or 2, even though our flight didn’t leave until nearly midnight and we had checked in at nearly midnight.) They provided us with stained towels and a dirty and used kitchen sponge upon arrival. Paara asked us when our wedding anniversary was. He told us that he would bring us a bottle of “bubbly” to celebrate our special day. He never wished us a Happy Anniversary, nor did he bring us any “bubbly.” When we asked for paper towels or napkins he stated that nobody had ever asked for them and they weren’t provided. It rained and there were high winds 7 out of 8 days that we were in Rarotonga (nobody’s fault,) but when we finally saw Kayla to ask for sightseeing brochures, she had none to give us, stating that some were left in our bungalow. There were only a few in the folder. She recommended visiting a nearby garden, which was very mediocre. The mattress was extra firm, the chair cushions indoors and on the outside lounge chairs were thin and worn out. The 2 burner gas stove had to be lit with a match and barely fit 2 pans on it. We paid over $500 per night, with fees and taxes for this beach bungalow. It was a huge splurge to celebrate our anniversary and we were sorely disappointed! We do NOT recommend staying here! "
