"The staff is very welcoming and kind. The lobby downstairs is very comfortable to sit in for long periods. I wish they kept the snacks stocked but I guess that was minor. I really like how the place is decorated and would return if I could stay in one of their very cool private rooms. The wifi was excellent as well."

"I arrived to this property after midnight, but the owner welcomed me with a smile. He even prepared me a tea in the morning, explained how to explore George Town in a day (coz I was there for one day only), even help me sorted with my lost baggage issues. Would stay more days in the future trip to Penang."

"My double room was very comfortable, and the fan, together with the aircon, made the space really airy and I slept very well. It could get slightly noisy at times as the room faces the main street, but it was mostly peaceful. Having to share the bathroom did not bother me much as it's right across the hallway anyway. It is right around the corner from Little India and it was so easy to get to all major attractions. Extremely good value for the price. "

"Could not find the property, clearly this has been a problem for others, even followed the hotels guidance of putting in another building in sat nav, the taxi driver could not find also, ending up paying for a hotel that i could find."

"On arrival thought the place was very good, easy checkin, friendly staff, decent sized room etc. Easy walk in the evening to Chullia St Hawker Stalls for a really good meal. All over the hotel there were signs about no noise after 10pm all was fine till 3am when the noise the door banging, running up & down the very old, very noisy stairwell this went on & off till 5am. We don’t expect complete quiet in a hotel at night & do realise people are on holidays but this was the worst I’d heard in...

"Property is a bit noisy when neighbours are stomping about or dragging chairs, one was till 2am. The apartment goes full depth of the property so good sized rooms, Blockout on the kitchen windows needs improvement as the security lights penetrated all night. Overall a good property and value for money "

"the places' location is great, the view from our 2-room apartment to the sea is stunning. While I kind of liked the setup of the Apartment some proper and professional renovation would do a lot of good, and overall cleaning would help. The major problem was that there were plenty of creepy crawlers and my daughter got bitten or whatever on the arm that we had to see a specialist at a hospital. Great stay, as you would expect from a double tree

"Large and comfortable room, nice shower, room safe and everything else you would need. I’m not sure how old the hotel is but it is just starting to feel a little dated in the rooms. Staff were super friendly and helpful, also nice to have the pool table and a few other activities in the lobby. We had an issue with the fridge not working in our room which they resolved straight away. Gym was decent size and very quiet when we were here also. It is in a bit of an odd location where you must get a Grab everywhere but they are cheap and available. "

"Under my circumstances the hotel was beautiful. Careful in the sun. I got a little sunburned because of a lack of enough umbrellas. But great place. Prices in bar and restaurants a bit high. Guess they figure if you can pay for the place, you won't mind the prices. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Staff incredibly friendly "
