"This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. "Lovely place to stay. Lovely staff who were very helpful. The pool however was closed when we were there for maintenance and then a private party which was very disappointing. "

"Positives 1.Extremely comfortable beds, we slept so well. 2.The water pressure in the shower was super strong. Wonderful shower. 3. Location is perfect. 4. Lovely patio area overlooking the library. 5. Wonderful service from reception. Negatives- breakfast I was so surprised how poor the breakfast was and this is something that could be remedied easily. The coffee was too weak (almost transparent). First morning i ordered the eggs and almost cried when i saw the quantity of food on the plate. That piece of garlic bread is insignificant and doesnt even taste good. Why not invest in sourdough bread and serve a thick slice with the eggs and maybe a sausage. Even the fruit in the buffet area looked a bit pathetic. Please upgrade your breakfast to match the quality of the rest of the hotel. "
