"We stayed at the property for 1 night primarily because we heard good reviews of their zip lines over waterfalls and thought it would be more convenient. Ziplines were definitely the highlight and our family really enjoyed it. The route up was quite the adventure as it was steep and very very rocky. The tour not only included ziplining but a dip in one of the pools at the base of a water fall (no towels) and a rappel down a waterfall. "We really liked the small B&B room we reserved. Space for 4 people, very clean and nice inside. It is located wirhin walking diatance to the downtown Monteverde area. It was actually a bit cool at night and so we started a small fire in the heater and it was great."

Chachagua Rainforest Hotel & Hot Springs

"This was the perfect spot for our family’s first time to La Fortuna and Costa Rica. If you don’t mind the drive into town for activities, which we didn’t at all, this place is quiet and beautiful! We loved sitting at both open-air restaurants and having a drink while our kids swam in the hot springs. The hiking trail and river slide/swimming were beautiful. We saw lots of birds and heard all the cicadas and howler monkeys in the evenings. We would definitely stay again!"

"Location up in the rain forest was beautiful. Really felt far removed from town, even though it really wasn’t that far. Staff is amazing; attentive and friendly. The view from the main lodge was so peaceful. Rooms are large albeit a little spartan but I do appreciate their eco practices. The food at the restaurant was the best we had while in Costa Rica."
