"Excellent hotel and location! We ate dinner at the rooftop restaurant and could see Taj Mahal! Shikya welcomed us at reception and was very efficient and helpful. She booked us tickets for a show for that evening and checked us in quickly. The rooms were clean, spacious and the shower was good. Very good value for money. Would recommend staying here when in Agra! "

"A BASIC hotel next to Burger King, a short walk to the Taj Mahal. The hotel was on a noisy busy road, the window frames were rotting which made the room cold. The staff told us that a heater was not included in the price but we could borrow one for 400 rupees. Breakfast was ok but they said it wasn’t included in our booking, but they checked again after we showed them our booking. Lastly at check out they asked us to wait while they sent someone to check our room which was unusual. "

"We really enjoyed our quick stay at The Orchid Retreat in Agra, India! I was surprised how close we were staying to the Taj Mahal, as we were able to walk there to get in line & buy tickets in advance online. The staff were so timely, friendly, & helpful with Taj arrangements and information. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned nicely. The food was very nice. It’s a family run facility, as I really enjoyed that and liked supporting a family business. When in Agra in the future, we will be...

"Any five-star review is fake. This was the worst "hotel" we stayed at in all of India. Do NOT believe the photos of the nice rooms - they don't exist. Only filthy, smokey rooms falling apart. No wifi, far from the city and completely fake advertisement. Stay far, far away from this establishment. "
