"We stayed on the third floor of the hotel, which has unique Japanese-style rooms. That was our favorite part, and we even had Japanese food delivered to the hotel so we could eat at our floor table. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance of Hinoki Village and the train to Alishan. The breakfast was just ok. My kids liked the lunar new year wish activity in the lobby."

"Hotel is a bit dated but in a great location. You can't be any closer to the night market and there are lots of great food options. We stayed several nights with Chiayi as a base. It was very quiet until someone checked into the room above us. On that night, it was clear that the soundproofing is non-existent. A bit tricky for light sleepers."
