"The hotel is located in the center of the historical town. Lots to explore within a couple of kilometers. It is quiet, new and well equipped. We slept well. The breakfast was provided with options of Chinese or western style. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I think it is one of the best hotels I have stayed. Highly recommended!"

"It was in a convenient location but the shower was grubby and the windows had rusty frames and rust dribble marks all over them. The cafe was unmanned so was unable to get a morning coffee even though it advertises a cafe. The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear."

"Nothing went away from the start. The web site gave us the wrong address and we couldn’t find the right place for a long time. The staff gave us very little help. Finally we found some local people who gave us directions to the place. The place…where do I start. The place was old and had a lot of problems, the bathroom door didn’t have a lock or a latch so it wouldn’t stay closed, the shower drain very slowly, every time we took a shower we would be standing in a pool of water. "The host was very helpful and checked motorcycle rental and bus schedule for us. The guesthouse is located at the quiet Guanting street, which is approximately 12 minutes walking distance from Tainan railway station and 5 minutes walk to ci kan lou/ bus stop for 88 & 99 route which can take us to some popular tourist spots, i.e. salt museum. "Generally just ok, nothing noteworthy. Location is ok and friendly staff. Though some area to improve : 1 - assigned room had no window 2 - sound from busy street outside can go in, 3 - unfortunately during the 1st night the balcony light was not turn-off by the hotel and really unpleasant to have restful sleep after coming from whole day activity. But over-all you still get your moneys worth."

"It was an absolutely beautiful space and well-maintained. Absolutely loved that slippers are required indoors. Great to have communal hot water and cool water to use. When we turned on the air-con, though, there was a distinct smell of urine (which was strange). Bed and space was super comfortable, though! Very close to all the good things! "

"Walkable from Tainan station if 25 minutes is not too far to you. Kitchen and washing drying combo machine included. So handy if you want to do cooking and laundry. The kitchen provides a water filtration system. However, we found the hotplate in the kitchen wasn't hot enough. You will need to be very patient when you cook your food "

"Perfect location! We walked practically everywhere for food and sightseeing, then we would take a taxi/Uber back at the end of the day, or vice versa. Restful 4-night stay in our comfy big bed, big room and big bathroom. Daily variety of tasty Taiwanese buffet breakfast and more, including latte/coffee, was superb! The whole hotel was well maintained and clean. All the staff were polite and helpful. We even took a complementary private car/shuttle ride to the train station on the last day. Highly recommend Fuward Hotel Tainan!"

"Our stay at the Golden Tulip Boutique Hotel in Tainan was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to both the hotel’s comfort and the outstanding service—especially from Cody, who truly made our experience unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Cody went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. He spoke excellent English, making communication effortless, and gave us fantastic recommendations for local eats that made our trip even more special. His attentiveness and thoughtfulness were unparalleled—he anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, making us feel incredibly welcomed and well taken care of. I’ve traveled extensively, and I can confidently say that Cody provided the best service I’ve ever received. The hotel itself was also a great choice. Our room was comfortably sized—I traveled with a baby and had no trouble fitting our travel crib while still having plenty of walking space.
