"The staff was amazingly kind and helpful. Even despite my rather broken Japanese, they were willing to work through it and help my wife and I through anything we needed (such as getting our room, taxi service, daily necessities, etc.) Also, there is an enourmous grocery store right next to it that is so, so much fun to explore and is also full of super helpful staff and curious townsfolk."

There is busy night life in the neighbourhood which may feel dodgy to walk solo at night but Japan is a very safe country as a whole. Rooms are small but clean.
