"We enjoyed sitting on the front porch of this lazy little country town. We did not realize it had more than one unit until after we finalized the reservation but luckily only one other unit had occupants, the last night. We walked to Damascus Old Mill for dinner (yummy-table over the river) and Blue Blazes bike rental is directly across the street if you are riding the Creeper Trail. We would go back again. "

"This property is very remote but there is a small town about 10 minutes away. Host is very nice. Unfortunately, during our stay, there was no wi-fi internet, no cell service and no land-line. So we were completely cut off from the outside world and we survived! Host was very apologetic about wi-fi that was cut out by Hurricane Helene and has not been able to be fixed, yet. "Stayed here with a group of friends for the weekend. It was an excellent time! The location is great, in a small development with a good paved road. It's five minutes or so to downtown Lansing and it's great spots and about 15 or so to downtown West Jefferson. Easy to get to from Raleigh and Charlotte, where our group was coming from.
