"I arrived quite late so did not use the bar of restaurant, however in the morning did find a gorgeous ambience, very Christmassy now to. My room 14 was in stable block, unfortunately fir me i was above the washing machine so between 22:45 & 01:30 my sleep was broken each time it hut a spin cycle with a loud tapping from corner of the room. That is well preserved.Good size Showers and bath (not all rooms had a bath). Many local customers relaxing and chatting, and friendly show its popularity and give it a lovely atmosphere of "the good old days". Loved it."

"We had a really wonderful time at The New Inn! The location was perfect - right in the middle of Winchelsea which is a quiet, beautiful little town, but only a 5/10 minute drive to Rye. The room was lovely and really comfortable - one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in! The food was great, and the staff were really lovely and helpful. All in all a fantastic stay - I'd have no hesitations returning or recommending to a friend :) "

"This is a property from the 1800's so this should give you an idea of what to expect. Lots of grand original features and very traditional. My room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. The hosts were an absolute joy to be around and provided great company and conversation. Breakfast was delicious and set me up nicely for the day. I would recommend without hesitation and I look forward to staying again. "

"Good convenient location. Clean well appointed rooms. Staff welcoming and very helpful. Only issue is the room on the 2nd floor was unbearably warm and there was no way to manually control it. The staff provided a floor fan on our second night and moved us to an upper floor day 3 and 4. I would stay again but request a higher floor. "
